my front lawn is your front lawn

I'm a west coast writer, editor, design junky, fashion lover and book collector. After moving to Scotland in 2006 I spent the next five years making my way back home incrementally, by way of Oxford and Toronto. Today I can be found combing Vancouver's secondhand shops, jogging the seawall, and appreciating local microbrews.

The Front Lawn is where I put out my thoughts on design, fashion and culture. Dig your toes into the grass and stay a while!

two cities

I admit it, I'm a stalker.

I monitor with embarrassing frequency the goings on of one 'Vancouver, BC'

But ever since we got confirmation of our Toronto move, my attention has shifted (somewhat) to some preliminary TO research. So, in the interest of full disclosure, I'm not only confessing, but also sharing my window into the lives of each lovely Canadian city.

The Block magazine blog - I loved the Block, even when it attempted to be a hip suburban magazine, and I like it now, though it's maybe a bit too glitzy to truly reflect Vancouver style.

From the guys who bring Beyond Robson to Vancouver, the slightly better BlogTO is keeping me apprised of relevant goings on in my future city.

Daily Dose of Imagery - the original photo blog, still going strong after all these years

And of course, I've been spending way too much time on CraigsList checking out flats for rent and mid-cen-mod furniture for sale.

Interesting post. You talked about Beyond Robson, that blog is also very informative and interesting. Well I must add here that Vancouver is a great place to be and I personally would love to move there very soon. But definitely moving from one city to another or even one place to other place requires lots of work and efforts. But thanks to movers vancouver type moving companies which are really helpful in the shifting process.
